Suggest a Speaker, Event or Theme for The Festival of Politics 2009 Since its inception, the Parliament’s award-winning Festival of Politics has set out to bring politics to the people. During the last four years, the Festival has hosted scores of events covering a diverse range of political subjects, and has welcomed hundreds of participants, including famous faces such as Vanessa Redgrave, George Alagiah, Kate Adie, Denis Healey and Mark Thomas. To mark the 5th anniversary of the Festival of Politics and the 10th anniversary of the Scottish Parliament, people will this year have the opportunity to bring politics to the Festival, with members of the public being invited to suggest speakers, events or themes they would like to see included in the Festival of Politics, which will take place from Tuesday 18 to Saturday 22 August 2009. All contributions will be gratefully received and considered, although it may not be possible to include these in this year’s programme.
