The Scottish and European arts worlds have always been closely linked by ties of culture and history. Last year, Scotland House in Brussels hosted an exhibition of works by Professor Richard Demarco, Scotland's best-known promoter of the visual and performing arts who has been developing cultural links with Europe for over 50 years. The exhibition featured works with links to many other European countries. Chaired by Struan Stevenson MEP with panellists including Professor Richard Demarco the event will ask does Scotland do enough to promote its arts and artists throughout Europe? And what do other Europeans make of our efforts?
