Arts and culture are inextricably linked. Our Arts programme this year tackles a range of topics. What place is there for poetry in politics? Does Scotland do enough to promote its arts and artists throughout Europe? How has Scottish writing reflected our politics and society over the last century? Does contemporary architecture and planning respond to a unique sense of the place or reflect an international art that crosses national boundaries? These are just some of the questions we will be seeking to answer.
Art In Focus will consider the life and work of the late sculptor George Wyllie MBE, with the opportunity to view some of his work in the unique setting of the Scottish Parliament's Garden.
